RJS has a long tradition of supporting a wide range of charities. We believe it is very important to encourage the spirit of generosity and giving in our children. In an age where there are so many distractions and demands made on us all, it is good that we are in the position to reflect on the needs of others and support them in a variety of practical ways.

Among the organizations we support are: Team Hope, Christian Aid, the Women’s Refuge Centre, Rathmines, the Irish Cancer Society, Cystic Fibrosis Ireland, Irish Guide Dogs, The Simon Community, ChildFund, Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin, Operation Smile, Welcome Home and St Claire’s orphanage in Huanta, Peru.

The children help the selected charities throughout the whole school year in a number of ways including our annual Copper Collection, the Christmas shoebox collection, Form Six’s Sponsored Walk, our annual Sale of Work and Bake Sale an a number of other initiatives.

Details of the amounts raised and donated last year are listed in the School Newsletter.
