Over the last few weeks Form Four worked in teams of four designing and constructing our own roller coasters made from recycled materials.
The rollercoasters had to transport marbles from one point up high to another, using the force of gravity. Various sized marbles were used depending on the type and weight of the cardboard used. The four teams found it very tricky to build a solid track. However, from the design stage, through multiple test runs and adjustments, with lots of enthusiasm and very hard work, four very different but impressive functioning rollercoasters were produced.
On Thursday 16th February we brought our rollercoasters down to assembly to demonstrate them to the rest of the school.
We had lots of fun making our rollercoasters and helping each other along the way!
