Today RJS held our annual Junior Sports Day. It took place at Terenure Sports Club. A huge crowd of family and friends gathered to watch the much anticipated races. Fortunately, the sun was shining for our special day.
At 11.30am we gathered on our picnic rugs while Mr Adair and Mrs Silke prepared for the races. KGA, KGB and Form One sat nearby on their rugs, waiting in great excitement.
We took part in a variety of different races, including a running race, an egg and spoon race, a three legged race, a relay race, a marathon, a sibling race and a family face. Our favourite races were the three-legged race and the relay race. The three-legged race was lots of fun and some of us fell over at the end. We really enjoyed the relay race too because we got the opportunity to work as part of a team. The marathon was the longest race. We tried our very best in this race especially and were exhausted afterwards!
Once all the races had finished our teacher gave us Smarties. We had a great day today and hope everyone who came to watch enjoyed our Sports Day as much as we did!
We hope you enjoy reading our news this week.
