On Monday 13th November Form Six had the privilege of handing over the Christmas shoe boxes to the Team Hope volunteers who arrived at the school. In total an incredible 160 shoe boxes were donated by pupils and their families from throughout the school. Thanks to everyone’s incredibly hard work over the last few weeks children far less fortunate than ourselves, in Africa and Eastern Europe, will receive these gifts at Christmas.
Such was the huge amount of boxes donated that Team Hope had to call out a second vehicle to come and collect them all! It was a good fitness session for the class carrying all of the boxes out to the cars and then sprinting back inside to get more, but it was also very enjoyable.
We hope that the boxes will have a safe journey to their final destination and they bring a lot of happiness to other children who receive them this Christmas.
