Form Four read the story of ‘The Iron Man’ by Ted Hughes. It tells the story of an iron robot who saves the world in the most unlikely way. We did a lot of work in English about the characters, illustrations, and plot. We also shared our opinions and had a lot of discussions.
In science lessons, we learned
about electricity and how to construct a circuit. In art, we used boxes and other junk to make big Iron Man models. We covered them in tinfoil and added details. Next, we used electrical circuits to make the eyes light up, buzzers beep and motors spin.
We shared our work with the school during our class assembly. We also read some of our character descriptions.
