Art and Handwork has always played a hugely important role in the life of the school. Throughout the year our corridors, staircases and walls are filled with each class’ fabulous creations, often with a seasonal twist. All our children get the opportunity to express themselves through a variety of media using many different techniques. The Exhibition gives everyone a chance to enjoy some of the work produced over the year, from painting and printing to weaving, sewing, knitting; working with clay, fabrics, plaster, wood and many more materials. As well as enjoying the creative process, our children have been inspired by visits to the National Gallery, the Irish Museum of Modern Art and the Hugh Lane Gallery. We are also looking forward to class workshops provided by Artzone later this school year.
