During our Autumn and Spring term hockey is available to all pupils from Forms Two to Six. This takes place at Three Rock Rovers grounds on Grange Road. It is played on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, with excellent coaching. Our senior pupils play competitive league and cup matches, although the emphasis is always first and foremost on enjoying the sport and developing skills.

RJS teams have enjoyed success with both our boys and girls teams in recent years. A number of our old scholars have gone on to play representative hockey at provincial and international level, including Anna O’Flanagan, of the current Irish women’s team and Mich Darling, a key player in the Irish men’s team which played at the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

During Covid we have taken all precautions possible making sure that travel to and from Three Rock is socially distanced. Masks are compulsory on the bus and more coaches have been provided to allow children and staff to spread out.
